Rush Creek Elementary School second graders and guests enjoy Dice and Donuts

Second graders at Rush Creek Elementary School have been playing different dice or card math games this school year to reinforce addition, subtraction, fractions, place value and multiplication. These games reinforce the skills being taught in the curriculum and also provide additional challenge and fun for the students.

On May 21, the second graders invited an adult family member or friend to join them for Dice and Donuts. The students taught the adults the many dice and card math games they have learned this year. They also enjoyed donuts while playing the games. For these games, all the students need is scratch paper, a few dice and a deck of cards, which means they can continue to play the games and work on their math skills at home!
