Rush Creek Elementary School celebrates learning with annual Teddy Bear Parade

Cheers and smiles filled the hallways of Rush Creek Elementary School on Feb. 28 as Community Education’s Four Star Express students and staff proudly marched in the school hallways for the annual Teddy Bear Parade, a beloved school tradition celebrating their month-long teddy bear learning unit.

Leading up to the event, students explored learning activities centered around teddy bears, including sorting, counting, graphing and a gummy bear taste test. At home, each student designed and their own parade float, bringing their creations to school for the big day.

As the prekindergarteners walked the parade route, students and staff throughout the building lined the hallways, clapping and cheering in support. The event not only showcased creativity and learning but also fostered a strong sense of school community.
